We met Ishmael at the ThaBarWa Center, a meditation center near Yangon that also provides food and shelter to more than 3000 aged persons, sick, infirm, blind, deaf, disabled, mental cases, homeless and helpless people. His story brought tears to our eyes. After having worked for 12 years in Malaysia and sending money each month to his family back home, his family abandoned him when he returned to the country after a stroke. Without a place to stay and as a disabled person, he accepted to join the ThaBarWa center. Today. It’s been already 5 years he’s living there and 5 years he’s trying to understand how his family could have abandoned him so easily after all he has done for them. We let you discover his story and his dream in the video above.
