A BIG THANK YOU !

Two months ago, we came back from the desert of La Guajira with a heavy heart. We had indeed met a family there whose story intensely moved us. Emigrated from Venezuela, the family had barely been surviving for the past year and lived in extremely poor conditions. They were also on the brink of being evicted from the land on which they had build their little wooden house. Unable to go on with our travel and simply close our eyes to this terrible situation, we decided to help them by throwing a crowdfunding campaign. As you must remember, it is thanks to your participation and your generosity that we have been able to realize this family’s dream : to have their own piece of land.

Their joy left us speechless… it is better to discover it by yourself by watching this video. Enjoy !

“Never give up on your dreams, because dreams and passion create the most beautiful things in this world” // C215

Deeply convinced that there is a dream lying within each of us, we have decided to track them down. Backpacks and camera on our shoulders, we travel around the world to meet people, other cultures, hobbies, passions – in order to find out what really drives people. Our idea ? To ask them a simple question, to which everyone has answered as a kid but that we unfortunately don’t ask ourselves enough once we’ve grown up: what’s your dream ?

Our project

divider

The Dreambox project is a travel project based on discovering, sharing and connecting. We’re traveling around the world for a year, asking people we meet on our way about their dreams and aspirations. We record their dreams and then post them on our website. The idea is to build a worldwide “dreambox”. Throughout our roadtrip, we will visit 3 continents and go through approximately 15 countries, which will allow us to appreciate both the individuality of people and the diversity of their cultures.

Of course, looking for and recording dreams is at the core of our project, but so is the way that we want to travel. We avoid pure tourism and want to experience this journey in an altruistic way, by devoting our time to help others through volunteer ing and community-based travel means such as Workaway or Woofing. The way we travel reflects our state of mind : we want to be as close to local people as possible, in order to discover their ways of living and thinking and then share them with you.

We would like to go further with our project by helping to make one of the dreams we will record come true. At he end of our trip, we will invite you to vote for the dream you liked the most and we will launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise money and reach our goal.
Who knows, thanks to you and together, we may be able to help someone’s dream come true ! Meanwhile, you can always help us by talking about our project around you and sharing it on social media !

THE DREAM TEAM

Though newly employed as a consultant, Kuba didn’t hesitate to leave his company to embark on this new adventure. Growing up between Poland and France and studying in China provided him with perfect adaptation skills. Above all, Kuba wants to experience diversity, to go off the beaten path and to seek out authenticity. According to him, this trip is an opportunity to gain a more comprehensive view of the world we live in. His objectives? To learn Spanish and taste as many different culinary specialties as possible to satiate his appetite for food – as well as for experience!

An adventurer at heart, who was bitten by the travel bug very early on, Christelle took this project as an opportunity to take a break from her daily life. She put her job as a digital consultant on pause and decided to realize a dream that she’d had in mind for years. Fiercely decided not to give in to routine, Christelle is a real creative machine when it comes to fighting boredom. She wants to make the most of this year to take time for herself but above all for others. She also wants to give her trip a cultural dimension. Her objective? To involve herself in volunteering and local projects.
